Hukilau Marketplace

CommercialEntertainment/AttractionRetail

The Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii features many unique structures, with the Hukilau Marketplace offering visitors their first glimpse into this vibrant Hawaiian attraction. The marketplace consists of 5 separate CMU and steel buildings designed to mimic the turn-of-the-century plantation style that once graced the islands.

These buildings house a variety of shops, including sweet treat stores, Goo’s Plantation Store, Hapa Home souvenir shop, and Pounders Restaurant.

AE Urbia collaborated with Michael Lee Designs, Special Projects, and the Polynesian Cultural Center to create an authentic Hawaiian experience.

Additional site work included full electrical and mechanical infrastructure, gazebos, restrooms for the night show, and a food truck court, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive visit.
